Mutham is a  love story. It’s a silent film  depicting  the haunting and passionate relation between the two old age people. The film intertwines the subject of love with marriage and nostalgia. Lakshmi the female lead role is counting her minutes for her last breath. When the whole family and friends are around her she is filled with meaningless emptiness. She holds her  soul  for someone special. When words fail to communicate, silence become words. In Mutham while silence failing to communicate the strength of  love, something else fills in the relation.
